Are there any moments you specifically do NOT want filmed?
Private rituals, certain family members, changing rooms.
How important is capturing guest reactions throughout the day?
Some couples want this woven throughout; others only want immediate family.
Will there be speeches or toasts? Who will be giving them and roughly how long are they expected to be?
Is there a cake cutting? A bouquet toss? Any other planned reception moments we should watch for?
Do you want documentary-style candid coverage, or are you happy for us to direct some moments?
Affects how we approach portraits and informal moments.
Avoid awkward moments and missed shots caused by family dynamics.
Who are the most important people to capture on the day beyond the two of you?
Grandparents, siblings, close friends — specific names help.
Are there any family members who have passed away who you would like honoured in some way in the film?
A dedicated moment, a memorial, or simply being mindful during certain shots.
Are there any family situations we should be aware of? (e.g. divorced parents who should not be filmed together, estranged relatives)
We will be completely discreet. This just helps us avoid difficult moments.
Will children be present at the wedding? Are there any specific moments with children you want captured?
Who is walking you down the aisle?
Father, mother, both, a friend — important for coverage planning.
Is there a designated family member or friend who can help point out key people to our team on the day?
A point of contact who knows the guests is invaluable.
How many people are in the wedding party? (bridesmaids, groomsmen, flower girls, ring bearers)
Music choices shape the entire feel of the edit. Collect this early.
Do you have any songs in mind for the highlight film? If so, please share them (title and artist).
Even a mood direction helps — 'something emotional but not soppy' is useful.
What song will be played for your first dance?
We will record the live audio and sometimes use it in the edit.
What music will be played during the processional (as you walk down the aisle)?
What music, if any, will be played during the recessional (as you walk back up the aisle after the ceremony)?
Are you happy for us to choose music that fits the mood if you do not have a strong preference?
Is there any music you absolutely do not want in your film?
Genre, specific artists, or songs — note any hard no's now.
Are you aware that some music cannot be used in films that are shared online due to copyright restrictions?
Explain your licensing approach here so there are no surprises.
Would you like us to include audio from the vows, speeches, or ceremony in the highlight film?
Some couples love this; others prefer it to be music-only.

Is there parking at the venues for our team and equipment?
Confirm for both ceremony and reception venue.
Are there any restrictions on filming at the ceremony venue? (e.g. no filming during certain prayers, no movement during vows)
Churches and licensed venues often have specific rules.
Will there be a drone restriction at any venue or location?
National Trust, airports, stadiums — check in advance.
Will the ceremony officiant allow us to place a microphone on them or near the altar?
Audio from the ceremony is critical. Flag any restrictions early.
Is there a receiving line after the ceremony? Roughly how long is it expected to take?
Affects when portraits can begin.
How much time is allocated for couple portraits and where will they take place?
30 minutes minimum recommended. Golden hour if possible.
Will there be a meal break for the videography team? Is a vendor meal provided?
Required for full-day coverage. Prevents a gap in coverage.
Is there anything else about your wedding day, venue, or family situation that you think we should know?
